Accomodation Fyrregården is a beautiful retreat space that is owned by the lovely Trine, who runs the facilities on a daily basis. The house holds separate bedrooms, dining area, a large kitchen, common areas, a big yoga shala inside and outside, and a beautiful, calming garden with an outdoor wood fired spa for free use. The outside yoga shala is covered by a newly built cover, so yoga outside is possible even by less good weather. We will host both indoor and outdoor yoga classes during the retreat. In the garden there are small lounge areas, a hammock to relax or read a book, and a small forest on the property. For more information about the retreat location see:

Location Fyrregården is located in Gudmindrup (Højby) - an area of the western part of Sjælland only a few hundred metres from Sejrøbugten and one of Denmark’s best beaches. Gudmindrup is part of UNESCO Global Geopark Odsherred because of its unique nature. The geological circumstances are great for agriculture and local produce, and has also created a solid ground for growing vegetables. There are dozens of charming farm shops with local produce and fresh vegetables in the area. We chose this location to create the best possible conditions for complete relaxation, mindful living and personal growth - close to nature and sea.

Facilitator Introduction

Sonja found her home in everything yoga and spirituality. She is a Yoga Alliance certified Vinyasa, Yin & Bhakti Yoga Teacher, Reiki I & II practitioner and Certified Raw Vegan Chef. She teaches group and private classes, workshops and retreats internationally since 2018. Her Vinyasa classes are strong, playful, traditional and with a holistic approach. For Sonja Yoga is a feeling and not a particular Asana (position) you find yourself in. It is all about the connection you create to yourself by linking your movements to your breath. Everyone and everything is welcome on the mat. In her Yin classes Sonja will take you on a mindful meditative journey back into your body. Energy healing and spirituality are her passions and she believes mindset and lifestyle are the creator of our reality. Sonja loves to spend time in nature. In her free time you will most likely find her by the ocean surfing or up in the mountains hiking. As a teacher she travels around the world to find inspiration by different ways of life and to get to know herself deeper.

Laura is passionate about taste and senses and our self taught cook for this retreat. She loves food, coffee and natural wine, and she is a sucker for good quality and sustainable products. Her inspiration mainly comes from Asian cultures, and the meals for this retreat will therefore be inspired by the Asian cuisine. Laura is a former barista and knows a lot about coffee, and she will host a coffee tasting with three different, amazing light roasted coffees carefully picked and prepared by Laura. Laura is amazed by the sea, she loves to swim and surf. Like Sonja she is drawn by nature, curious about people and cultures and likes to travel for inspiration and personal growth. She is also a yogi and has practiced yoga for almost 10 y. She is saving up for a yoga teacher training, and will be guiding a few yoga classes during this retreat, so please bear with her possible beginner mistakes as a teacher. This is Laura’s first experience with hosting a retreat, and she is very excited to welcome you all with gratitude, kindness and all her lovely energy. Sonja and Laura know each other from Bali, where they met in a hostel in Ubud. Sonja was working at the hostel as a host and teaching yoga classes. Laura visited as a guest. They connected in conversations about life, yoga, and food, and spent some time together exploring Ubud.

Covid-19 and Health Check We are taking all the necessary health measures in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Danish Health Authorities (SSI) to ensure your safety during our retreat. We continuously check for updates and any changes to the rules and we recommend that you please do the same. We provide hand sanitizer placed around the house and outside, and we encourage you to use them when moving around the area. Surfaces and common areas are cleaned daily to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all of us. It’s important to keep a respectful social distance whenever possible. We of course want to create a safe space, but at the same time we would like you to feel relaxed and engage in social activities and in the community, as much as you like.

We therefore require you to show a negative Covid-19 test, no older than 48 hours, upon arrival. Travel information If traveling from abroad, we ask you to check for the newest updates from the Danish Police: On this website foreign visitors can find information and read about the rules and protocols to follow before they arrive in Denmark. The Danish Health Authority (Statens Serum Institut) will issue updated overviews of “open countries” and “quarantine countries” every Thursday at 4 pm. Immediately thereafter, the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will update the travel advice, if any changes are necessary. They will also continuously update the travel advice in the event of any other changes to entry restrictions quarantine rules from specific countries.
